Heating and Plumbing Website Design in Bournemouth

This project involved the design and development of a heating and plumbing website for Hunterwood Heating & Plumbing, a reputable local business serving Bournemouth and the surrounding area. My client Kai was looking to establish a professional web presence that extended his highly rated Google Maps listing and helped convert more visitors into enquiries.

The goal was to create a clean, mobile-friendly WordPress brochure website that was easy to navigate, clearly presented his services, and showcased examples of completed work. Using Elementor, I designed a responsive layout with dedicated pages for Home, About, Services, Gallery, and Contact, ensuring visitors could quickly find key information from any device.

To support local SEO, the content and metadata were optimised for searches related to plumbing and heating services across Bournemouth, Southbourne, Christchurch, Poole, and surrounding Dorset areas. Clear headings, structured service listings, and well-labelled images were used to reinforce visibility in local search results.

Two key integrations helped boost trust and conversion: a floating WhatsApp chat button for real-time messaging, and a live feed of Google Reviews showcasing Kai’s 5-star client feedback. These were positioned for visibility across the site, especially on mobile where users tend to engage fastest.

Image content was carefully curated, including a gallery of previous heating and plumbing projects. Wherever possible, filenames were labelled descriptively to assist SEO, and the gallery layout was kept simple and user-friendly for mobile-first users. A cookie banner, privacy policy, and sitemap were also included for GDPR compliance and technical optimisation.

I also advised Kai on moving away from a generic Outlook email address and provided a domain-branded alternative for a more professional presence. As part of the handover, I set up Google Analytics and Search Console accounts and added Rank Math for ongoing SEO monitoring and growth.

The result is a sharp, lightweight, heating and plumbing website that supports Hunterwood’s growing business and helps convert local visitors into paying customers.
